The energy of September 2026: being authentic with passion

September 2026 does not give itself away all at once. It starts asking for more than it gives, catches fire mid-month and ends by pushing you towards action. It is a month to review what you truly want, tell it apart from what you think you should want, and hold it with the energy you actually have.

    Summary

September 2026 turns attention inwards: towards your own needs, the relationships that ask for more depth and the wish to live with less disguise. Here is how to read its energy and translate it into concrete decisions.

September: a month to hold what catches fire

Some months push and some months brake. September 2026 does both, and in that particular order: first it brakes, then it ignites and finally it lets go.

The first days ask for calm exactly when you most want to get going. From the 10th the climate changes completely and things become more intense, deeper and considerably less comfortable. The last week, by contrast, offers the momentum that was missing at the start.

If you try to live it all at the same pace, the month will feel like an uphill climb. If you work with it, each stretch serves a different purpose. And the thread that sews it together from end to end is authenticity: more than once, September will place in front of you the difference between what you truly want and what you think you should want.

The first days: plenty of drive, little fuel

On 1 September, Mars and Saturn pull in opposite directions. Mars is the urge to do. Saturn is the time real things take. When one pushes and the other brakes, it feels like wanting to start and finding your body, your calendar or your circumstances saying "not yet".

The temptation is to force it. The month rewards the opposite.

These days work better if you deliberately lower the bar. Choose tasks you can finish. Tidy up what you have been putting off. Plan instead of executing. And if something you have been asked for cannot be sustained with the energy you have, say so early and clearly: giving notice in time now costs far less than letting people down later.

September 10: the month changes tone

Three things coincide on the same day and, between them, they reorganise the climate of the month.

Venus in Scorpio: relationships ask for depth

Venus speaks of bonds, of what we value and what attracts us. That day it enters Scorpio, which is not satisfied with the surface: it wants to know what lies beneath. What until now rested on politeness will from here on ask for truth. It is the kind of movement that shows up in your birth chart in relationships before anywhere else.

And it does so right opposite Chiron, usually associated with the old wound: the one that is activated by the same kind of situation every time. When something sits opposite, it normally shows up in the shape of another person. So if a relationship touches an old nerve this fortnight, it is neither a coincidence nor only about the other person. It is your own material coming out where it can finally be looked at.

Mercury in Libra: conversations that repair

On the same day, Mercury moves into Libra. Mercury is how we think and how we say it; Libra looks for the middle ground and for the word that does not break anything.

It arrives at a good moment, just as the above is raising delicate subjects. It is an excellent window for the conversations you had been avoiding: the ones that can be held with care, without blaming, looking for a way out rather than for someone at fault. What you agree in these days has a better chance of lasting, because it will be built on what was actually said.

Uranus retrograde: reviewing what you changed in a hurry

Also on the 10th, Uranus turns retrograde and stays that way until February 2027. Uranus is sudden change, the break with the usual. When it moves backwards, that movement stops looking outwards and starts looking inwards.

A good moment to go over the quick decisions of recent months. That change that excited you — does it still make sense, or are you keeping it up so as not to admit you rushed? This is not about backtracking as a matter of course, but about checking what is genuinely workable.

New Moon in Virgo: putting the essentials in order

On 11 September there is a New Moon in Virgo. New moons speak of beginnings, and Virgo is the sign of the useful detail and of things that work.

It is the least spectacular energy of the month and probably the most productive. It is good for separating what contributes from what merely takes up space, whether that is a drawer, a calendar or an idea you have been dragging along for months.

It also favours everything that calls for precision: researching something thoroughly, going over accounts, writing. If you have a pending conversation that needs data rather than emotions, these are its days. And if you write — a journal, a project, whatever it is — it will probably flow more easily than you expected.

Start with something small and finish it. With this moon, finishing is worth more than starting big.

Mid-month: when desire turns into a question

On 15 September, Venus and Pluto collide. It is the most intense point of the month.

Pluto speaks of what cannot be seen but rules: power, desire, the fear of losing. When it comes into tension with Venus, bonds become charged. A very strong attraction may appear, a devotion that is hard to rationalise, or the reverse: jealousy, control, the sense that something is at stake that nobody is naming.

If you are in a relationship, subjects that had been dodged for a long time are likely to surface. Needs that were never said out loud. Balances of power that were accepted without ever being discussed. It is not a bad omen: it is material that was already there and is now coming up to the surface, which is where something can be done about it.

Venus also has to do with money and with what we consider valuable, so this tension may equally show up as a financial decision that can no longer be postponed.

    Giving intensity something to do

There is a very concrete way to make this energy work in your favour: give it a creative outlet.

Intensity that finds nowhere to go tends to look for conflict. That same intensity put into something made with your hands — writing, playing, cooking, building, moving your body — becomes one of the best creative windows of the year. It is not a pretty metaphor: it is the difference between the force using you and you using it.

How does this month feel from your own map?

Everyone goes through the same climate differently. At Ovinchi we work with a unified interpretation of five disciplines so that the general energy becomes something that speaks about you.

    From commitment to balance

On 18 September, Mercury and Saturn look each other in the eye. It sounds severe and it is useful: it is the energy of the serious conversation, the one that does not embellish. What you settle these days will be less brilliant and more durable. A good moment to review a contract, close an agreement or say something you have been softening for too long.

That same day, Chiron moves back into Aries walking backwards, and stays there until spring 2027. Aries is the sign of the self that asserts itself. The invitation is to dare to follow your own path, even if it does not look like the one expected of you, and to do it out of desire rather than reaction.

On 23 September the Sun enters Libra and the equinox arrives: the day light and darkness last the same. It works as a hinge, and it is a good moment to ask yourself where you are out of balance. Usually not in the obvious place, but in something you have already normalised.

Full Moon in Aries: between impulse and fog

On 26 September there is a Full Moon in Aries, and it sits right next to Neptune. It is the most paradoxical combination of the month.

Aries wants to run. Neptune blurs outlines, idealises, confuses desire with what is actually there. Together they produce a sensation that is hard to handle: a strong urge to move and very little clarity about where to.

The day before, the Sun sits opposite Neptune, which thickens that fog a little more. And on the 26th itself, the Sun and Pluto support each other, which brings a quiet underlying strength.

    Comparing dreams with reality

The practical reading is simple, though not always easy: this is not a week for setting new goals. Everything you decide now will be tinted with an idealisation that in October will look like something else.

It is, however, an excellent week for the opposite: taking a desire you already had and contrasting it with reality, without mercy and without drama. What does it ask for? What does it cost? Am I willing? If a project had already been decided before this moon, then yes: take the first step.

    A favourable moment for stillness

What complicates decision-making is, in exchange, excellent for everything that requires no decision at all.

A long meditation. A stretch of real silence. Writing with no aim. Paying attention to your dreams, which in these days tend to become sharper and more talkative. The same energy that blurs the view outwards sharpens the ear inwards.

The end of the month: finally, movement

The last days make up for the demands of the first ones.

On 28 September, Mars enters Leo and the Sun and Uranus keep each other company. Mars in Leo is a warm, visible and sustained energy: the urge to do, and also the urge for it to be seen. Uranus adds the spark of the unexpected solution, the one that shows up when you stop looking for it.

It is the best window of the month to execute. What you have been preparing for weeks now moves with an ease that may surprise you. Close negotiations. Refine what was half-finished. Launch.

On the 30th, Mercury enters Scorpio, once again opposite Chiron, and the month closes where it began to change: in depth. Conversations regain their edge. If you have been doing the work throughout the month, this is the chance to finally name what at the start you did not know how to say.

Five ideas to work with September

    1. Start the month with less

The first week is not made for big starts. Choose three things you can finish and finish them. That feeling of having delivered will hold you up for the rest of the month better than an ambitious half-done list.

    2. Make the most of the window from the 10th to the 18th

It is the best stretch of the year for difficult conversations held with care. If you have one pending, put a date on it within those days. Do not leave it for October.

    3. Give intensity something to do

Mid-month you are going to feel more than usual. Decide in advance where to put it: a notebook, an instrument, the gym, the kitchen. Choosing it before you need it is half the work.

    4. At the Full Moon, listen instead of deciding

From the 25th to the 27th, postpone whatever you can postpone. Use those days to observe, not to resolve. And write down what you dream: it usually brings material. If you want a hint on where to listen from, discover which archetype rings loudest in you.

    5. Save the important things for the last week

If you have to present, negotiate or launch something, book it from the 28th onwards. That is when the month finally pushes in your favour.

A reflection to close the month

September insists on the same question from several different places: how much of what you do is genuinely yours?

It starts by reminding you that your energy has a limit. It goes on to uncover what lies beneath your bonds. And it ends by giving you momentum right after you have had to look at what you would rather not look at. That is why it helps to cross several disciplines instead of settling for a single point of view.

It is not a comfortable month. But the months that stir things up are usually the ones that leave something behind.

If instead of rushing through it you work with it, in October you will know things about yourself that you did not know in August. And that is, in the end, the only way to live with passion without ceasing to be who you are.
